I would like to talk you through one really easy and simple exercise which you can start to complete as soon as you feel ready.
It's called an abdominal contraction. It’s a very easy and low impact exercise to start to engage your tummy muscles after birth. Here is a step by step guide on how to complete-
1, Get in to a position on all fours, with hands directly under your shoulders and knees under hips.
2, Maintain a straight back with a neutral spine.
3, I want you to picture that there is a piece of string pulling from your belly button up through your back to the ceiling. Really focus on pulling the tummy muscles as tight as you can.
4, Contract the abdominal muscles as much as you can and hold for 2 seconds before relaxing the tummy muscles back down.
5, Focus on keeping the rest of your body as still as possible.
6, Repeat 10 times
